На центральной площади города, напротив Дворца культуры моряков смонтирована диспетчерская башня управления морского порта, представляющая собой бетонный столб, заканчивающийся ажурным синим стеклянным шаром. С 2003 года эта 60-ти метровая башня является одним из символов города. В народе башню называют «Чупа-чупс».
