Экспозиция музея раскрывает многие темы: необходимость создания в г. Иркутске военного училища в ХХ в., введение в авиацию и космонавтику, даются представления об атмосфере, о современном летательном аппарате, его устройстве, оборудовании, применяемых материалах. Музей проводит военно-патриотическое воспитание на примере истории и традиций ИВАИИ, подвигов его выпускников. Для желающих происходит показ военной формы одежды и знакомство с воинскими званиями.
