Недалеко от музея в ст. Тамань в небольшом тенистом сквере к 170-летию поэта в 1984 году был установлен памятник. Он является точной копией памятника в Пятигорске. Лермонтов стоит на высоком обрывистом берегу, смотрит в сторону моря, опираясь рукой на камень.
