Памятный знак матери Марии был установлен 21 декабря 1991 года к столетию со дня рождения Е. Ю. Пиленко. Инициатором установки и разработки памятника стали сотрудники Анапского музея. Авторы анапский художник Юрий Ковальчук и архитектор Юрий Рысин. Это гранитную плиту, на которой возложен наклонный крест. На плите надпись: «Нет, Господь, я дорогу не мерю, - что положено , то и пройду. Мать Мария».
