Озеро Змеиное расположено в 0,8 км к северу от поселка Большой Утриш. Раньше вода в озере была пресной и прозрачной. Здесь обитало действительно много змей. Поэтому озеро и получило свое название. Затем перешеек, отделявший озеро от моря, взорвали. Его площадь 22,5 га, глубина местами около 8 метров. Раньше озеро использовали как гавань, для захода сюда рыболовных судов. Сейчас на озере стоят в основном парусные и моторные яхты на которых, можно совершить прогулку в открытое море.
